ABOUT ME
Hi!
I’m Joanna and I’ve been a distributor with Forever Living for about 15 years. Prior to that I was a Graphic Designer for 12 years or so. Let me share with you how my drastic career change came about thanks to a digestive problem (IBS) and a ‘whacky cactus juice!
A friend mentioned to me one day 15 years ago that she was feeling fantastic since drinking aloe vera. I must admit I thought she’d lost the plot, because at that time aloe was mainly known as an ingredient in face creams!
However, I usually trusted her judgement completely so I asked if I could try some of hers. She poured me some into a glass and I knocked it back...
She had omitted to mention the unusual taste. I actually spat it out into her sink! However I later decided for some unknown reason that I wanted to buy a tub, which I did and a week later I was amazed at what had happened.
You see for the previous 2 years I’d had IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and my Doctor had been unable to come up with ANY solution. After taking the aloe gel drink for one week, I had no more symptoms of the IBS.(I was very healthy apart from the IBS).
Now, my friend hadn’t told me that it might help IBS - probably because she didn’t know it would - it was very new to the UK at that time. So, my improvement wasn’t due to some kind of placebo effect.
In fact it took me a while to work out that it must be the aloe that had helped - I went through everything I had done that week and the only thing I had done differently was to take the drink. I did some research and discovered that aloe is a natural anti-inflammatory...
Well, I couldn’t believe my ‘luck’ and started telling all my friends what had happened. They wanted some too and before I knew it, my new business had accidentally started!
This home-based business has enabled me to leave my stressful design job and live where ever I choose. I spent the last 7 years in St Ives in Cornwall. Last year I decided I’d like to live on the edge of Poole Harbour, so that’s where I’m based now.
I love helping others with their health and their wealth, so being part of FLP is just great!
